James was married twice and had a daughter from each of marriage. He lived his life in Bath and was a Superintendent for Strong, Carlyle & Hammond an Industrial Supply Company. He later attended Wittenberg College and became an Optometrist. He loved to play and was quite an organist. He was in the ARMCO Band. He loved to and went to Canada almost every summer Muskie fishing. His youngest daughter currently lives in the southern part of Ohio, and it is ironic that she works for a library and she operates the “Book Mobile”, where part of her route takes her to the Ohio Masonic Home, she said she has thought many times how her father would have loved living there. (some info came from Spencer & Helen Freeman and Paul Schubert of the Bath Historical Society)
