Paul was born in Ghent, Bath Twp, s/o Roswell Briggs Hopkins, PM of Meridian Sun Lodge, He lived in Copley beside the Hopkins warehouse with his wife and two children, and he had three grandchildren.  Hopkins & Sons built a Warehouse in Copley next to the Railroad so they could store and ship their lumber.  He would work at the sawmill in Bath and then when a shipment was expected to be sent out by RR he would travel with it to the Copley Warehouse. Paul was described as a quiet and gracious man.  He was a member of Copley United Methodist Church. He was a member of Yusef Khan Grotto, member of and Past Patron of Ellsworth Chapter of OES and Past Advisor of Meridian DeMolay. He was a retired Lumber Owner/Dealer with R. Hopkins & Sons in Copley and formerly worked for the Copley School System.
