He was born in Valley View, Ohio, and lived most of his life in Peninsula with his wife and children, he had at least 2 daughters. He was a member and Past Patron of Ellsworth Chapter, Eastern Star and the Loyal Order of Moose in Cuyahoga Falls. He was a bus driver for Richfield School System and was also a radio repairman.
