According to the 1930 Brecksville census Alfred was married and had four daughters and one son. Three other children were later born to Alfred and his wife. Alfred born 01/11/1896 in Brecksville, Ohio and died in 1963 in Toledo, Ohio - Buried in Brecksville Center Cemetery Alfred was the first child of Silas and Edith (Brush) McCreery. He was over six feet and had a slender build, brown hair, and blue eyes. He was five when his father died and his mother and sister moved to her hometown Berea/Middleburgh Hts., Ohio. Mrs. Birdsall said, “Alfred spent summers with us at our home in Brecksville”. When he was fourteen, he trained a pair of calves to a yoke and drove them to the Centennial and was in the parade (Brecksville Celebration in 1911). Alfred went thru the Berea School System and attended Ohio Northern University. His religion is Jehovah’s Witness. His daughter-in-law thought him an exceptionally fine person.
