Looking for a Family Member's Lodge?

If your father, grandfather, uncle, or another relative was a Mason, you may know the name of his lodge. If you do not, you may still be able to find out where he belonged.

Gather whatever information you have, such as his full name, approximate location, photographs of Masonic items, membership cards, certificates, or other documents.

A lodge may be able to help identify the appropriate records or direct you to the Grand Lodge of Ohio.

Have You Inherited Masonic Items?

If you have inherited Masonic books, aprons, pins, medals, photographs, certificates, or other items, you can contact the lodge before deciding what to do with them.

Some items may be meaningful family keepsakes. Others may belong to a Masonic organization and should be returned rather than discarded.

If an item is marked “Property of Grand Lodge of Ohio,” for example, please contact Meridian Sun Lodge so it can be properly handled.

Interested in Becoming a Mason?

If you are interested in becoming a Mason, a local lodge is also the best place to begin.

A member can explain the basic requirements, answer your questions, and tell you what to expect from the membership process.

You do not need to know Masonic terminology or understand the fraternity before making contact. Asking questions is a perfectly good place to start.

We're Here to Help
