He was married and had two sons and four grandchildren. He lived in Brecksville on Brecksville Rd. in one of the houses across the street from the new Walgreen’s Drug Store (2008). He also had his medical office in the same house he lived in, his wife served as his Nurse, and he was an avid Brecksville School sports fan. He was said to strongly question a call by an umpire or referee if he felt the call was wrong. (Info from Jim Turk) Bill graduated from Western Reserve Medical School. This came from his obit sent to me by Carol Host, Brecksville Historical Society. He was a Doctor of Medicine, practicing out of his home since 1933 until 4 years ago (1975). He was a staff member of Mary Mount Hospital until retirement. Member of American Medical Association, member of Meridian Sun Masonic Lodge, 32-degree Mason, Brecksville Kiwanis Club, Alpha Kappa Kappa, Phi Kappa Psi. He was a General Practitioner and served as Physician for Athletic teams at Brecksville High School for 40 years. He was awarded “Outstanding Ohio Team Physician” in 1975 by Ohio State Medical Association. I was talking with one of our members & he said that WB Bill delivered his 2 sisters.
