Dorsey was married with three daughters and two stepdaughters and three stepsons.  He lived in Bath before moving to North Carolina. He was an Accountant and at one time had his office (in the 1950’s) in the old Blacksmith Shop next to the Old Town Hall on Broadview Road.  Dorsey was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church.
