Clark inherited 75 acres in Brecksville from his father and it was to the farm he brought his bride and raised his two children, a son and a daughter. He was active in civic affairs, having served as Township Trustee, Constable and clerk many terms. He was one of the founders of the Brecksville Bank and served as one of its directors until his death. He along with his son-in-law, Charles Wood, owned and operated Dillon & Wood Funeral home in Brecksville. One thing was told about the Funeral Home Clark owned in 1906 was the roads were called “the Devil’s Washboard” and sometimes during the wet season the roads were so muddy Clark had to use four horses to pull the Hearse. He served Chippewa Lodge of Odd Fellows as Noble Grand during four terms. Clark and Dr. Theodore Breck ca 1933 played in the “Cornet Band” with Clark playing the Alto.
